A concept poster for a film adaptation of Thomas Pynchon's novel Gravity's Rainbow. Since any movie of that complex book would itself have to be complex, I thought the poster should reflect that by way of being visually busy, though not in an overwhelming way. The "technical illustration" look of the piece comes from the main plot of the book, which concerns the design and development of the V-2 rocket during WWII. Even though the rainbow of the title doesn't refer to an optical rainbow, I thought that was too strong of an image to pass up.
